Did the Golden Globes website accidentally announce the winners early?
THE GOLDEN GLOBES take place this Sunday and pundits are busy speculating as to what film will emerge victorious.
But did the show’s website accidentally reveal some winners early?
Perhaps.
Yesterday, while nosing around the website, The Guardian noticed that Selma was listed as the winner of Best Motion Picture, Drama alongside the rest of the winners in 2014.

Later, The Guardian notes that Into The Woods was listed as winner of Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, replacing last year’s winner American Hustle.
So, is it a case of a trigger-happy tech employee publishing the winners early or is it all just a technical glitch?
The Golden Globes told Buzzfeed that they were simply testing the website and accidentally tested it live, but assured them that they had “randomly selected” two category winners with no knowledge of the actual winners.
Selma is up against Foxcatcher, The Theory of Everything, The Imitation Game and Boyhood in its category.
Into The Woods, meanwhile, faces stiff competition from Birdman, The Grand Budapest Hotel, St. Vincent and Pride.
Can they win? We’ll see on Sunday.
